Nationalist Party Leader Bernard Grech has announced a second protest, calling for the “removal” of Gozo and Planning Minister Clint Camilleri.
Grech stated, “the people deserve a government that is focused on improving the quality of life of the people and not a government that is lost in stealing and defrauding us.”
He went on to say, “after the pressure of the Maltese people led to the resignation of Clayton Bartolo, now it must be the people who raise their voices again so that Abela removes Clint Camiller i and stops defending fraud. Be courageous. Join us on Monday in Valletta.” The protest will be held in front of Parliament on Monday, the 2nd of December, starting at 6pm.
Meanwhile, in a statement on Wednesday, independent candidate Arnold Cassola insisted that there is “no place for Clint Camilleri in Maltese politics.”
He said that “today, the Parliament Ethics Committee will be discussing the shameful behaviour of Clint Camilleri. There is no way out for him. He has conspired with Clayton Bartolo to defraud the honest taxpayers and to betray their trust.”
Cassola stated that “the only possible outcome is the sacking of Camilleri. Anything less means that Robert Abela has chosen to be loyal to the betrayers of the Maltese people’s trust, thus becoming a betrayer himself.”
