The Nationalist Party has insisted that the “two Government members on the Parliamentary Committee for Standards in Public Life have also confirmed that both Clayton Bartolo and Clint Camilleri were guilty of fraud. Since both are guilty of the same offence, they should both resign.”

During a press conference outside the Ministry for Tourism, Shadow Ministers Beppe Fenech Adami, Paula Mifsud Bonnici, and Alex Borg stated that “when the two Labour MPs adopted the report by the Commissioner for Standards in Public Life, they did so in full. This means they confirmed that Clint Camilleri is as guilty as Clayton Bartolo.”

The PN spokesperson went on to highlight that, “while Clayton Bartolo has not only been removed from the Ministry but even expelled from the Labour Parliamentary Group, Robert Abela continues to defend Clint Camilleri, who remains a Minister.”

“The Maltese, and especially the Gozitans, deserve better than a Minister who pretends to be unaware of what’s happening in his Ministry, while paying his colleague’s wife €70,000 for a phantom job,” they said.

The PN spokespersons stated that “Gozo deserves a serious Minister who works for the Gozitans, not one willing to defraud them.”

The stressed that “on Monday evening, the Maltese people will once again raise their voices, showing Robert Abela that they are ready to clean Malta of a Government characterised solely and repeatedly by fraud.”
