Tertiary-level graduates increased by 6.6% last year – NSO

Tertiary-level graduates totalled 5,833 during 2023, this was equivalent to an increase of 6.6% over the previous year, the National Statistics Office said today
Today’s data shows that slightly more than half of tertiary graduates attained a qualification at ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor’s or equivalent) (52.5%).
The NSO noted that more than half the tertiary-level graduates were females (60.1%).
The majority of tertiary graduates were aged between 20 and 29 years (67.9%).
Foreign graduates totalled 1,526, equivalent to 26.2% of total tertiary-level graduates, increasing by 12.3 percentage points over the previous year.
EU citizens comprised the largest proportion of all foreign tertiary graduates (54.5%).
The ‘Business, administration and law’ ?eld of study was the most popular among tertiary graduates in 2023, accounting for 29.7% of all tertiary-level graduates, the NSO said.
