20 people who were found to be living irregularly in Gozo, were arrested on Monday during more coordinated inspections between the Police and the Agency for detention services in connection with irregular immigration.

Police said that those arrested are from Ghana, Ethiopia, Syria and Nigeria and were found to be living in a number of Gozitan localities including Victoria, Marsalforn, Fontana and Xlendi

All the persons were taken to the detention centre until the process for their return is completed.
