Savina is introducing its take on “Prinjolata – Malta’s (probably) oldest traditional dessert,” with a new crunchy chocolate.
Savina said that it will have “the same great taste of Malta’s well-known Carnival dessert, only this time it is presented as a great-tasting chocolate bars; covered in luscious white chocolate instead of butter cream or meringue, but all in all its reminiscent of Prinjolata in every bite.”
It has a biscuit-center, with a melange of candied fruit, almonds and, of course, pine nuts (“prinjol” is the Maltese word for pine nuts), encased in finest Belgian white chocolate makes this “prinjolata” a true umami treat.
The public are invited to Savina’s Artisan centre in Xewkija, to sample the latest addition to the Savina family and have the opportunity of a special 25% introductory discount.
