Data from the National Statistics Office show that outbound tourist trips from October to December 2024 reached 225,141 (+2.7%), while total nights spent amounted to 1,540,963 nights (+2.8%).

The NSO noted that Italy remained the most popular destination with a share of 33.2% of tourist trips.

The majority of guest nights (51.8%) were spent in non-rented accommodation establishments.

The NSO said that outbound tourist trips in 2024 reached 843,902 (+2.5%) while total nights spent surpassed 5.7 million nights (+1.1%).

Total tourism expenditure in 2024 was estimated at €804.0 million (+8.7%) while expenditure per capita stood at €953 (+6.0%).
