A month of Easter in Gozo activities for 2025 has been announced – based on Art, Faith and Tradition – with the programme launched by Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri.
The Easter programme will run between the 18th of March and and the 20th of April, which will include activities related to Lent, Good Friday and Easter in Gozo.
The island of Gozo is always a special place to be at Easter, with events and religious activities taking place across the island, both inside and outside the churches, including concerts of sacred music, processions, pageants and exhibitions of statues, visual arts exhibitions, and many activities for children.
Easter is the greatest feast in the Christian calendar since it commemorates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, a festival celebrating the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Minister said that in collaboration with the community, the Directorate for Culture Heritage within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning has drawn up a cultural calendar of activities, keeping alive many traditions that have been passed down from one generation to the next, offering a different experience to those who visit Gozo during this feast with over 100 activities taking place across the island.
Minister Camilleri reiterated that Gozo is ready to welcome the many visitors expected over the Easter period and encouraged everyone to attend the organised activities.
