The Nadur Local Council has said that it continues to invest in the locality’s rural infrastructure with the completion of another important project, finalised over the past year through funding under Measure 4.3 of the European Union.
Through an investment of over €250,000, two rural roads have been upgraded: Triq Irdum ta’ Vnuta in the Xurdin area, complementing previous works carried out in past years, and Triq Wied Rihan in the San Blas area.
The Council said that these roads will improve accessibility for residents, farmers, and visitors who frequent these areas for walking and recreation.
To mark the completion of this project, a press conference was held in the presence of Nadur Mayor Edward Said, members of the Nadur Local Council, as well as the Director-General for Local Government, Emil Vassallo, alongside representatives from the Local Government Department.
The Nadur Local Council concluded by saying that “this project reflects its commitment to further enhancing the locality’s infrastructure while preserving its rural and natural characteristics.”
