100th anniversary commemoration of Nadur Archpriest Kan. Martin Camilleri (8.9.1921 – 8.9.2021).
An organising Committee has been set up by the Nadur Parish to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the death of Archpriest Kan. Martin Camilleri.
The Committee explained that Archpriest Camilleri was a hard working Parish Priest. Among his sterling work, he was the mastermind of the enlargement of the Nadur Basilica and its interior decoration.
He died at a young age on the 8th of September 1921 and up to the present day Nadur residents are still benefiting from his hard work and initiatives.
The Organising Committed said that various activities are going to take place in Nadur during the coming months.
Some of these include a publication about his life and an exhibition with a commemorative evening is due to be held during the feast days of Imnarja 2021.
Other social and religious activities are going to be held in September 2021 during the climax days of the 100th anniversary of his death, the Committee said.
