In a joint operation between different sections of the Police in Gozo, a 27-year old German national has been arrested in connection with the cultivation of cannabis plants.

Police said that following surveillance on a Nadur residence, on Monday morning the Police entered and found a room equipped with items related to drug cultivation.

Around 20 cannabis plants of all sizes and seeds of the same drug were found in the room, Police said.

Magistrate Simone Grech was informed of the discovery and appointed an inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing with the man being detained under arrest and expected to be arraigned in Court in the coming days.
