EST! EST!! EST!!! Sannat Wine Festival, a true celebration of fine wine, local culture, and community spirit, returns next week for an unforgettable evening on the island of Gozo.

Presented by the Sannat Local Council and thanks to Sannat’s special connection with Montefiascone, Italy, the festival will once again feature a rich and diverse selection of regional wines. Sannat and Montefiascone share a special bond through their devotion to Saint Margaret, their patron saint.

During the wine festival, guests can also enjoy a variety of delectable food dishes, creating the perfect pairing for a memorable evening.

A highlight of the festival is the much-anticipated House Wine Competition, open to local winemakers. Wine sample submissions must be delivered by this Saturday, the 26th of April, at noon.

Adding to the lively atmosphere, guests will be treated to live performances by the internationally acclaimed Cher tribute act Essentially Cher, along with the vibrant sounds of Rebecca & the Passengers.

This year’s fifth edition will be held on Saturday, the 3rd of May, at St Margaret Square in Sannat, with festivities getting underway at 7.30pm.

The festival is a free-entry event, with parking available within the school grounds for those arriving by private vehicle, the council said.

This event is supported by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning and the Cultural Heritage Directorate.
