Gozo based voluntary organisation Innovative Youth, recently conducted a three-day workshop in Malta, as part of the Erasmus+ project: Empowering Women: Building Leadership and Advocacy Skills for Young Europeans.
The workshop attracted a good number of participants and during the exercise, activities were developed to empower participants with tools that would allow them to strengthen their leadership skills and advocate for gender equality.
The organisation said that the aim was to equip participants with the skills, inspiration, and practical experiences they need to become effective leaders.
The training included talks, group activities, and study visits for young women who will be better prepared to promote change in their communities. Experiences were heard from speakers who have shared their knowledge and insights on overcoming challenges and achieving success.
The project proved successful, receiving tremendous feedback from participants and strengthening support networks among countries with common interests.
The project is funded through Erasmus+ funds.
Innovative Youth expressed its thanks to the participants and invited them to continue participating in initiatives like this that help create a more equitable world for all.
