The Nadur Local Council has announced the successful acquisition of EU funding, through which the Council, with the assistance of the Gozo Action Group Foundation and acting on behalf of the Nadur Teen Youth Center, completed the installation of three storeys of high-quality steel railing – “a project that directly contributes to the safety, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal of the youth centre.”
The funding was applied for under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (2014-2020), through Measure 19.2 – Sub-Measure 4, aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Gozo and making the island more attractive for young people and families.
The Nadur Local Council said that “this investment is part of the Council’s broader commitment to fostering an inclusive and vibrant community environment for Nadur’s younger generation, particularly through the use of EU funds.”
By upgrading infrastructure and improving public spaces, the Council added that it “continues to deliver on its mission of creating a more livable, secure, and youth-friendly locality.”
The Council concluded by saying that “in collaboration with the Gozo Action Group Foundation and the Nadur Local Council, this investment strengthens our commitment to cultural growth, safety, and youth engagement in our community.”
