The Health Authorities have announced that an autopsy carried on on the fourth victim, 32-year-old Justin Chircop has confirmed that he died from the (A) H1N1 swine flu virus.

The results known so far show that he was not suffering from any disease that might otherwise exacerbate the situation. More tests are due to be carried out, which is normal proceedure.

The Health Department said that up to 10am on Thursday morning, 741 people working in the healthcare sector had been vaccinated.

From Saturday, the 2nd of January 2010, Health Centres will be vaccinating persons who have chronic illnesses as well as pregnant women. To obtain the vaccination people must produce their identity card, the yellow card or a letter from their doctor.
