Athletix, the Gozo Athletics School, held its annual lunch and presentation of the 2009 awards. The coaches, Paul Camilleri and Mario Bonello (who in August 2009 won the 200m World Masters title – the first ever world gold for Maltese athletics) were greatly satisfied with the progress of their young athletes.

Some of the athletes attending the classes have excelled in competitions held in Malta proving that the Gozitan kids certainly have the talent.to compete at national and international levels with proper coaching and if provided with adequate facilities..

Indeed, the coaches noted that with more investment in building a sporting culture and in infrastructure more kids would be attracted to this growing sport.

Special thanks also go to the sponsors Puma and Errea, and to all the parents who have made this positive experience possible.
