263,000 tourists visited Gozo in July, over 242,000 were same-day visitors

262,929 tourists visited Gozo during June, including both same-day (242,488) and overnight (20,441) or 64.9% of total tourists for the Maltese Islands (405,263).

The figure was an increase of 2.7% on the same period last year, the National Statistics Office said today.

The number of tourists visiting Gozo from January to July, including both same-day and overnight visitors totalled 1,251,016 or 56.6% of total tourists (2,210,992), this was a 12.9% increase on last year, the NSO said.

On a national basis, total inbound tourists for July 2025 were estimated at 405,263, an increase of 6.2% when compared to the corresponding month in 2024.

Total nights spent amounted to 2,772,593, and total expenditure reached €452.2 million.

The largest share of guest nights (87.3%) was spent in rented accommodation establishments.

Inbound tourists in the first seven months of 2025 amounted to 2,210,992, while total nights reached 13.4 million.

The NSO noted that total tourist expenditure for the period January-July 2025 was estimated at €2,016.4 million, while expenditure per capita stood at €912.
