Friends of the Earth Malta are calling on Gozitan residents to join with them at a community assembly in Gozo “to hear your opinions and make your voices heard on – Safeguarding our Public Spaces.”

The NGO explained that these assemblies aim to bring together local residents, this time round focusing on Gozo residents, through public meetings where people can share their experiences and concerns about the locality, particularly in relation to the coastline and the sea. “We’re organising several such assemblies across the Maltese Islands.”

Friends of the Earth Malta is urging the public to “voice your opinion and help us fight for a better local environment! Together we can bring change!”

The community assembly is taking place this coming Saturday, the 20th of September, starting at 10am, at the Government Experimental Farm, Xewkija.
