The new scholastic year started following a full summer of preparations ranging from administrative and academic to infrastructural and digital projects, the Minister said. Among these is the distribution of laptops to Year 7 students. For this scholastic year, 245 new professionals were employed in State schools.

Minister Clifton Grima explained that there was a major exercise to ensure that classes in all years of state schools have their own educator in all subjects, while other massive work was concentrated on the educational environment in which educators and students will spend the coming months. “This was not only infrastructural work, but also work in the digital and technological sector so that we can always continue to improve the educational experience.”

“Once again, I congratulate not only the educators and administrative staff in all schools, while thanking them for their commitment and dedication to the well-being of our children, but also all the students starting another scholastic year which ultimately aims to give them all possible opportunities to achieve the individual aspirations of each and every one of them,” said Minister Grima.
