Last Saturday, the St Margaret Band delivered a memorable concert dedicated entirely to the music of Johann Strauss II, marking the composer’s 200th anniversary in style.

Held at the Grand Hotel in Mgarr, under the direction of Mro George Apap, the band presented a vibrant selection of Strauss’s most beloved works, ranging from sparkling polkas to sweeping, iconic waltzes.

The Band said that the concert stood out not only as a celebration of a musical giant, but also as a testament to the St Margaret Band’s artistry and dedication and was warmly received by all present.

This concert was organised with the support of the Social Causes Fund, Sannat Local Council and Pegasus Laboratory Services.
