November’s annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Price Index was 2.6%, down from 2.7% in October.

Latest National Statistics Office data released today revealed that the largest contribution to the overall annual inflation was measured in the food index (+0.81 percentage points), mainly once again due to the higher prices of take-aways.

The highest annual inflation rates in November were registered in other goods and services (5.0%) and food (3.8%).

The lowest annual inflation rates were registered in clothing and footwear 0.0%) and Water, electricity, gas and fuels (0.0%).

No downward contributions to the overall annual inflation were registered for November, the NSO said.

The 12-month moving average rate for November stood at 2.2%.
