The Bir Miftuh International Music Festival organised by Din l-Art Helwa continues with a Voices and Piano Performance on Friday, the 24th of April, starting at 7.30pm, made possible with the support of the Embassy of France.

Gillian Zammit – Soprano, Raisa Marie Micallef – Mezzo Soprano, Dillon Camilleri -Tenor, Joseph Cutajar – Baritone, together with Maria Elena Farrugia – Piano, will perform a rich programme of works by Gounod, Charpentier, Faure, A Thomas, E Lalo, Saint-Saens, W. Gluck, H. Duparc and P. Viardot.

The vocalists form part of the Opera Nova Project founded by Gillian Zammit and Denise Mulholland with the aim of providing a holistic high level of musical education and to create a local and international platform for talented young voice students.

Tickets for each concert are against a donation of €25 per person and include refreshments after the performance in the beautiful church grounds with discounted tickets for block bookings for the three concerts. The last two concerts will be held on the 23rd and 30th of May.

The medieval church of Santa Marija ta’ Bir Miftuh is located outside the Malta International Airport, near the roundabout to Gudja.
