Tourists Citadel, GozoThe data from the National Statistics Office today revealed that 103,579 tourists visited Gozo during February, including both same-day (91,600) and overnight (3,850) or 41.6% of total tourists for the Maltese Islands (249,139).

The figure was an increase of 8.5% on the same period in 2025, the NSO said.

The number of tourists visiting Gozo for the first two months of 2026 including both same-day and overnight visitors totalled 197,080, including both same-day (185,909) and overnight (11,171) his was a 5.6% increase on the previous year, the National Statistics Office said today.

On a national basis, total inbound tourists for February were estimated at 249,135, an increase of 18.5% when compared to the corresponding month in 2025.

Total nights spent amounted to 1,365,205, and total expenditure reached €171.7 million.

The largest share of guest nights (90.5%) was spent in rented accommodation establishments.

Inbound tourists for the first two months of 2026 amounted to 484,911, while total nights reached 2.7 million.

The NSO said that total tourist expenditure for January and February was estimated at €350.6 million, while expenditure per capita stood at €723.
