The public will have the opportunity to show their appreciation towards the work of the Police in Gozo this month, during an event in commemoration of Police Day.

The special day is commemorated on the 12th of July, and this year marks the 212th anniversary.

In Gozo, there will be a ceremony in Ghajnsielem at the Parish Square, on Monday, the 13th of July.

Prior to the evening events, there will be a Mass celebrated at the Santa Marija cemetery chapel, followed by the blessing of Police graves and laying of flowers.

The commemoration events then get underway at 7.30pm.

There will be a Police Band Concert, and the evening will conclude with displays by the Precision Drill Team, the Police Dogs Section, Mounted Police and the Community Police will also be in attendence.
