June’s registered unemployed up by 327 to 1,322

Data from the National Statistics Office released today show that the number of registered unemployed in June increased by 327 persons over the same period in 2025 to 1,322 and went down by 74 person when compared to May.
The figures revealed that males accounted for 63.0%, or 833 of the total registrants, while females accounted for the remaining 37.0% or 489 registrants.
The NSO noted that increases in the registered unemployment levels was observed in all age groups when compared to June last year.
The largest rise in registered unemployment was recorded among individuals aged 30 to 44, the NSO said.
The number of persons with a disability registering for work decreased by 25 persons over the same period in 2025. Males accounted for 68.6% of total registrants with a disability.
Clerical support jobs remained the most common occupations sought among the registered unemployed.
