Gozo Film Festival showcasing storytelling, voices and talent from around the world

Later this month the 9th edition of the Gozo Film Festival will get underway in Victoria.
The organisers said that the festival programme is carefully curated to showcase diverse storytelling, creative voices and emerging talent from around the world.
The Festival opens on Friday, the 21st, of August, with a line up of short films for 75 minutes followed by three Maltese shorts titled ‘Wild Lands,’ ‘Island of Oblivion’ and ‘Unur, Fama u Glorja,’ starting at 10pm It closes on Sunday, the 23rd, with the animated film ‘Fantastic Mr Fox.’
Cinema lovers and filmmakers from near and far will be able to gather at the Gozo Citadel, in the heart of the island’s capital, for an unforgettable three-day cinematic journey.
Filmmaking and cinema take centre stage with open-air, under-the-stairs screenings of local and international features and short films, with workshops for adults, children and teenager and loads of quality cinema.
The Gozo Film Festival said that it proudly promotes and showcases local (Gozitan and Maltese) and international productions.
