A sizeable crowd attended the final of the Gozo Equine Cup, held on Sunday, at the Ta ‘Xhajma race course. The Gozo Equine Cup is a new competition organised by the Gozo Horse Racing Association in collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Consumer, Fair Competition, Local Councils and Public Consultation.

The Sunday finals were very exciting, with horses and ponies from both Gozo and Malta taking part. This event is set to become an annual feature on the Gozo sporting calendar.

The Parliamentary Secretary, Chris Said, presented the trophies and cash prizes to the winners at the end of each class final.
