Il-Musical Gheruqna
The Zebbug Gozo Local Council organised the Musical Gheruqna. The lyrics were written by Can. Noel Saliba, Head of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary, the music was composed by Mro. Paul Abela, and the artistic direction was that of Ray Mangion. Georgina Abela and J Anvil took the main lead parts.
The Musical narrates briefly the history of the Christian faith that Mary of Nazareth lived by, as it was discovered by Saint Paul who brought it to our shores, and how we Maltese and Gozitans lived it throughout the ages.
Gheruqna was presented to the public at Pjazza L-Assunta Zebbug, where the Parish Church was used as part of the scenic backdrop.
