Transport Malta has launched a new service that will enable registered owners to receive notifications on their vehicle’s VRT, road license, fines and charges via sms or email, free of charge.

A registered owner may sign-up for Transport Malta’s alerts by either logging onto www.licenzji-vetturi.gov.mt (my-Gov details) or by logging onto the myAlerts site, www.mygov.mt/alerts.

The eVERA sign-up process is a relatively simple one. The registered owner will be required to submit the vehicle’s registration number, his/her Identity Card Number or Passport Number and the last four characters of the vehicle’s engine number (found on the log book) to receive an alert.

The sign-up process has to be repeated for each vehicle that the registered owner would like to receive notifications by email or sms about.

Once registration takes places, the system will automatically send:

· VRT-due notification on the 1st day of the month on which the vehicle license expires (if the vehicle is scheduled for VRT;

· A vehicle road license renewal notification on the 7th day of the month on which the license expires
