New funeral details announced for victims of Gharb tragedy

The bodies of the 6 victims of the fireworks factory explosion which happened a week ago today, have now been released for burial after the results from DNA testing resolved identification issues whch had involved two of the victims.
The funerals had been postponed from last Friday and Saturday.
The funeral of Jean Pierre Azzopardi, will take place on Tuesday, the 14th of September. The funeral cortege will leave the Gozo General Hospital at 4.30pm , for the church of St. John Battista, Xewkija, where the funeral Mass praesente cadavere will be held.
The Funeral of Nenu Farrugia, his sons Noel and Raymond, daughter-in-law Antoinette and son-in-law Paul Micallef will take place this Wednesday, the 15th of September at 3.30pm, when the funeral cortege will leave from from the Church of Our Lady of Pompeii in Santa Dominka Street to the Sacred Heart Sanctuary in Fontana, where the funeral Mass praesente cadavere will be held at 4pm. The rest of the funeral will be held in private.
Their families have also requested that mourners make donations, in lieu of flowers, to a fund set up for the victims at Fontana Parish Church.
