The scheduled small meeting in the Charter of European Rural Communities calendar was held in Moravce, Slovenia between the 10th – 12th September 2010.

As a member of this Charter, the Nadur Local Council was invited to participate and make a presentation about the theme ‘Participation in Local Democracy’.

The delegation, consisting of Rita Mifsud Attard, Maria Natoli, Carmela Mifsud, Ines Buttigieg and Monique Cauchi attended the meeting and discussed several issues about citizens’ participation in local democracy, together with other delegations from member towns in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.

The delegation was welcomed by the Mayor of Moravce and several respresentatives from the locality, who shared their local culture and traditions.
