Bank of Valletta is supporting “Sharing the Care – The Healing Power of Gospel Music.” This concert is being organized by The Malta Hospice Movement and the St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation on the occasion of the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day and features the Joy Gospel Choir.

Hospice specializes in Palliative and End of Life Care rather than curative treatment; quality rather than quantity of life. Total care is offered together with pain and symptom relief through a care plan tailor made for both patient and family. Emotional, spiritual and practical support is given based on the patient’s wishes and family’s needs. Trained volunteers support the professional team.

Charles Azzopardi, Manager Marketing at Bank of Valletta presented the Bank’s donation to Dr Vincent Zammit, Chairperson Hospice Movement during preparations for the concert at St John’s co-Cathedral.

Assisting organizations that provide supportiveness to the profession of health care is a priority for Bank of Valletta through the Bank’s Community Programme,” said Mr Azzopardi. “We would like to invite the public for this bonanza of Gospel Music and follow our example and give a donation that will enable the Malta Hospice Movement to continue providing sterling service within the Maltese Community,”

The concert is being held at the St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta on Friday 29th October 2010. Entrance to the concert is free but a donation to the Malta Hospice Movement is being encouraged.
