The programme of activities organised by the National and Regional Celebrations Committee within the Ministry for Gozo in connection with the Gozo Regional Carnival 2011, which will be held in Victoria, between Saturday, the 26th of February and Tuesday, the 8th of March 2011, will be as follows:

* Saturday 26th February 2011

6.30p.m. Official opening of the Gozo Regional Carnival 2011 – Grand Defilè with all participants.

7.30 p.m. Spectacle in Independence Square, Victoria featuring dance companies, triumphant floats and grotesque masks.

Friday 4th March 2011

10.00 a.m. “Children’s Carnival” – Defilè followed by a dance spectacle in Independence Square, Victoria, with the participation of the Gozo College Schools.

Saturday 5th March 2011

9.30 a.m. Defilè along Republic Street with the participation of the Gozo College Schools dance companies, triumphant floats and grotesque masks.

Sunday 6th March 2011

3.30 p.m. Defilè along Republic Street, Victoria with all participating groups and items.

4.30 p.m. Spectacle of dance companies, triumphant floats and grotesque masks in Independence Square, Victoria.

Tuesday 8th March 2011

6.00 p.m. Defilè with all participating groups and items along Republic Street, Victoria.

6.30 p.m. Grand Finale spectacle with all participating groups in Independence Square, Victoria.

* In case of inclement weather on Saturday, the 26th of February, the programme will be transferred to Sunday, the 27th of February 2011, at 9.30 a.m.
