The Ghaqda Muzikali San Girgor asked Amina Contin to think of an original choreography for 3 of the pieces included in the concert ‘Spectacular Spectacular,’ Amina thought immediately of the ‘Twin Drapes Dames.’ Two actresses and aerial acrobats, who are both graduates of the School of Theatre in Bologna Alessandra Galante Garrone.

Clio Abbate and Barbara Belotti, one from Bologna and the other from Brescia, are both specialized in the magical discipline of Drapes.

Like butterflies, dancers and actresses, the Twin Drape’s Dames challenge gravity and fly, hung at 8 metres high, they express themselves and narrate stories and express themselves hung between air and land.

Transferring on both levels, land and air, abstract and concrete, real and immaginary, Astor Piazzolla’s Tango, as well as giving shape to an Italian classic song as is “Volare” di Modugno, or better transforming the song “Come what may” in a serenade sung in the air, all of which represents an ideal challenge for Amina, who has always believed in the interaction between different artistic expressions.
