For the second consecutive year, an encouraging number of parents attended an information evening held at the Institute for Tourism Studies, in Qala.

During the evening, parents had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with their children’s school, while also gaining more information about the ongoing courses, as well as future courses available. A presentation was also made by a spokesperson from the Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) in Gozo, on other opportunities for these students.

The students prepared food and drinks for the occasion and were able to show their parents around, enabling them to see the type of work they do during their courses.

The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, attended the evening and met with the parents and students who were present. The Minister said that further training and education in various sectors was available at several institutions in Gozo to students who had completed their compulsory education.

The ITS currently has 27 students attending full time courses and 46 students in part time courses.
