Air Malta has warned today that one of the main trade unions in Italy has declared a general strike for tomorrow, Friday, the 6th of May 2011 between 1000 hours and 1400 hours local time. Air traffic will also be affected by this strike.

In the eventuality that the strike will materialise, the following Air Malta flights to and from Italy will operate as follows:

KM612 Malta-Reggio-Rome

Will depart Malta at 0710 hours local time. The flight will leave Reggio Calabria to Rome at 0845 hours.

KM613 Rome-Malta

Will leave Fiumicino Airport after 1400 hours once the strike is over.

KM624 Malta-Milan

Will depart Malta at 1215 hours local time.

KM625 Milan-Malta

Is expected to land in Malta at 1710 hours.

KM614/5 Malta-Rome-Reggio-Malta will not be affected.

Air Maltasaid that it regrets any inconvenience that its passengers may encounter due to circumstances beyond the airline’s control and urges its clients due to travel on the above-mentioned flights to contact flight enquiries at Malta International Airport on 50043333 or the airline’s call centre on 21662211 for further information about flight arrival / departure times.
