The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, gave details about planned infrastructural projects related with the Gozitan tourism industry during a meeting held recently with members of the Gozo Tourism Association council. These projects include extensive refurbishment works at Zewwieqa waterfront, as well as in the popular resorts of Marsalforn and Xlendi.

The meeting, held at the Ministry for Gozo, included a presentation on the current situation together with suggestions given by the association towards further improvement within this important socio-economic sector for Gozo.

The discussion centred about related matters that mainly concerned the strengthening of the Gozitan tourism product, new marketing strategies and other issues such as the availablity of human resources. Both the Minister for Gozo as well as the association representatives expressed their satisfaction at the outcome of the meeting that augurs continued collaboration between the two entities for the benefit of the tourism industry in Gozo.
