Bank of Valletta and Network Publications, in collaboration with the Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, have launched the Bank of Valletta Boat Show 2011.

This year’s event is being held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Floriana between the 15th and the 18th September 2011. The dedicated marina and its surroundings will host a large gathering of boats and related items.

This annual event is considered the largest gathering for boating enthusiasts, dealers and anyone with a passion for sea craft. It is a premier boat show enhancing awareness for boats on the island and has provided an excellent forum for Maltese industries to join the sport.

John Formosa, Managing Director Network Publications and Tonio Depasquale, CEO at Bank of Valletta launched the Bank of Valletta Boat Show 2011.

Speaking during the launch, Mr Depasquale said, “apart from being a major industry, interest in yachting as a sport and leisure activity has been on a constant increase. Bank of Valletta is proud to be strongly associated with an event that creates such a high level of interest in yachting.”

“Bank of Valletta is launching a series of added benefits to the BOV Boat and Yacht Finance Package for the BOV Boat Show,” continued Mr Depasquale. “All loans sanctioned under the BOV Boat and Yacht Finance Package between the 15th September and the 15th November 2011 will benefit from a 50% discount on loan processing fees. Moreover, the maximum term of the loan is being extended from 10 years to a maximum of 12 years.”

“Large self-built stands promoting a wide range of small and medium sized boats, engines, water sports equipment and luxury product will be displayed spread over this four day event,” said Mr Formosa. “This year’s event will also host the new Ferrari FSS and two models from Maserati, which will be available for public viewing throughout the weekend along with fashion shows on each night, live shows and entertainment.”
