The sixth edition of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music gets underway this Sunday, the 11th of March, with a concert being held at St. Augustine Church in Victoria starting at 7.30pm.

During this concert, entitled ‘A Sacred Choral Opening,’ the Gaulitanus Choir and its soloists will present a number of sacred works, which, to give homogeneity to the programme are all in the english language. the choir said that “Pride of place is being given to the premiere in the Maltese islands of the “Easter Trilogy,” a cantata in 3 sections for narrators and choir, by American composer Benjamin Harlan.”

The remainder of the programme will include a number of medleys and arrangements specifically made up for the occasion. The latter will also feature several of the choir’s soloists. As usual Stephen Attard will be the accompanist with the choir’s founder-director Colin Attard at the helm.

Entrance for this and all the other other concerts in the Festival is free of charge.
