The Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre for Art & Crafts in Ghajnsielem will be presenting the annual school exhibition, with works of of art produced by participants currently attending courses at the Centre.
The Centre said that it is “committed to promote and give the due exposure to the participants’ works to the maximum. To this regards, the annual exhibition, presented on a national scale, is a showcase to the participants’ projects accomplished during the course of the year. Furthermore the exhibition provides the general public, with an amplified view of the courses offered at the Centre.”
Among the subjects featured will be art in its various media, beading techniques, curtain making, soft furnishing, embroidery, furniture making, glass gilding, gold and silversmith, lace, lathe and milling techniques – wood and metal, metal works, papier mache designs, parchment crafts, photography, pottery, ceramics and mosaic, wood and stone sculpture, sugar crafts, thread filigree, traditional fishing pots and cane works and wood crafts.
The official opening will be presided over by the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, on Friday, the 27th of April, 2012 at 6.pm.
The exhibition, which is being held at the Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo, Victoria, will remain open to the public until Thursday, the 10th of May, 2012, from 8am till 5pm, excluding weekends and public holidays.
