The 6th edition of ‘Seher il-Punent,’ organised by the Gharb Local Council, got underway yesterday and continues until tomorrow, Sunday the 29th of April.

There are many different activities taking place at this popular family festiva, ensuring that it appeals to all ages and these include among others:-

Singing and Dancing with the participtation of Local Talent,

70’s, 80’s, 90’s flashback wind band,

Participation of foreign groups twinned with the Council who are being invited for the occasion.

Carnival Costumes and Dancing

There will also be the production of the largest Gbejna, which this year, the Council said, will exceed the 2011 weight, which was 77kg and a chance to taste last year’s cheese.

A get together and exhibition for all motorcycle enthusiasts will be held at Pjazza Zjara tal-Madonna

Live Concert at the Gharb Church Basilica, being part of the Gaulitana Festival of Music – A Duo for a Celebration: Violin & Viola Recital 1 – Giambori Duo (UK/Canada)

Children’s areas with animators and games and many, many other activities.

‘Seher il-Punent 2012’ was inaugurated last night by the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono.
