The Gozo University Group said that it welcomes with great enthusiasm, the introduction of the Diploma in Gozo Studies which will commence from October 2012.

After the successful Degree Plus in Gozitan Studies which GUG organised in the last semester, it was believed that such a course would be ideal, because students will get to know more about the economic and environmental situations in Gozo, the history of our beloved island and what makes us different from other people living in the mother island, such as the folklore and the dialects and how we can preserve them.

GUG said tht it also encourages that further initiatives like this should be considered and taken into account.
