‘Hondoq by Night,’ is the name of an event taking place this coming Friday, the 6th of July 2012 at the idyllic Hondoq Bay in Qala.
Guests who will be providing the entertainment during the evening include Matthew and Ivan, from the popular Maltese band Red Electrick who will be performing a two hour live acoustic session and the Gozo Drum Tribe.
Throughout the evening, the bay and its surroundings will be illuminated with traditional flaming lanterns and special light effects, creating a unique relaxing atmosphere.
The event starts at 8.30 p.m. Entrance is free of charge and everyone is invited to attend.
This event is being organised by the Qala Local Council.

Hondoq Hondoq Hondoq !!! What a piece of Heaven in the middle of the Mediterranean,
Love to be there and attend this beautiful event !! Hope everyone realize that if they BUILD up Hondoq with that monster of a project , this beautiful event will have no chance of happening .Hondoq what a Gem !!
@Joe Cutajar,
As you know I have been running a campaign so that events like these could keep on happening .Our aim is that Hondoq area will remain for everyone to enjoy .
We would encourage everyone to come and enjoy this event and can assure you that we will have fun
Paul I know all about your campaign ,We thank You for your hard work and for all that you do to protect the beautiful Hondoq ….Keep up the excellent job !!!!! Have fun and enjoy Hondoq and the event !! Hondoq what a Gem !!!
A big thanks to Paul who has been working for these last years so we can all keep on enjoying Hondoq Bay .That area belongs to all of us .
We in Nadur had the Ramla application and if it wasn`t for an ngo THAT SLOPE WOULD HAVE BEEN SPOILT BY NOW We also got the cemetery where water is being threatened
Mr Cutajar I agree with you 100%
Good luck with all the campaign work Paul. I only wish I could be there on Friday night as it sounds like it will be a great night for everyone.
Great to read about this event we will be there for the Gozo Drum Tribe and the lovely cool clean braes.
Let`s hope that Hondoq area will still be left for everyone and not reserved for the rich
On my way home from work as i cross the Maltese Channel with the Gozo ferry I always look to this tranquil bay and enjoy my self thinking of the beautiful evenings that we spend there on the beach.
Hondoq is the place that brings nice memories of when I was young .It is also the place where I met my wife 38 years ago.Don`t let the area to be under the hammer .Liberate Hondoq once and for all so we all can have a piece of mind
A big prosit to all those involved in organizing this event .I went there yesterday and was amazed at the amount of people that were all enjoying themselves .
People of Qala be careful and keep on looking after Hondoq bay and the area around it
I just hope that the people in charge of Gozo and the people who wants to destroy Hondoq saw how important and beautiful Hondoq is .Hondoq should not be destroyed and built .It should be cleaned up and preserve all the Nature that surrounds it ,so people from all over can go and enjoy the beautiful Hondoq . Hondoq…….. what a Gem in the middle of the Mediterranean and how lucky to have such a place like Hondoq in Gozo !!!
@ Joe Cutajar Agree with you 100%
See you for the festa
@@Paul Thank You so much for all the hard work that you do in keeping hondoq safe and out of harms way .I saw a lot of pictures of this event and everybody is having so much fun at Hondoq ………why would they want to take it away and destroy this place ? Any amount of money is not worth destroying this beautiful place !!!! Paul Thank You and keep up the good work !!
ive been visiting gozo for 20+ years taking my children to Hondoq(its there favourite place on the island) for the past seven and we shall be coming again late october to a most beautiful bay, anything that keeps its natural charm has my vote..if any developers want to develope something there is always Basildon, Tilbury or Grays in england theyre always welcome
I am very happy when I hear or see the most beautiful Bay of Hondoq ir-Rummien on any photos and the latest once was the most wonderfull BBQ that was at Hondoq ir_Rummien on the 7th May 2012 at night with all those lights, I seen all the photos on facebook taken by Frankie Jon Magro and they are beautiful, so I say to those developers stay away from Hondoq ir-Rummien and leave this bay of Hondoq to the PEOPLE.
can’t this amount of people and moRe show up foR a pRotest
to show whoeveR want’s to Ruin this place that THE PEOPLE want it
