Arriva has said today that it will be offering extra bus services on certain routes in Gozo to help those travelling to join in the celebrations for the feast of Santa Marija in Victoria.

Extra buses will be in service between Marsalforn and Victoria this coming Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, at 11.45pm and 1.00am. Passengers will be able to use the normal day ticket on these buses.

In addition, Arriva said it will also be operating extra buses on routes to Cirkewwa in Malta, for those travelling to Gozo for the feast.

Transport Malta also said today that vehicular traffic to Cirkewwa can temporarily use the new Marfa Road north-bound carriageway

TM said the works along the north-bound carriageway are nearing completion however a number of interventions are still required.

“The road has only been opened temporarily in view of the perceived increase of traffic over the Santa Marija week.”
