Following the animal adoption campaign held during Fresher’s week, Youth for the Environment (Y4TE) is pleased to announce that the votes have been tallied and the animal chosen by the student body is the Giant Panda.

With less than 1,600 Giant pandas left in the wild; WWF works to help preserve their habitat and protect the remaining Pandas from poaching, illegal logging and encroachment.

Y4TE has gone ahead and adopted the Giant Panda via WWF and it will now be joining the Amur Leopard and the Sea Turtle from the previous year’s adoption campaigns.

Y4TE would like to thank all those who participated in this campaign and voted for their preferred animal at our stand.
