The preparations are well underway for the fourth edition of The Fine Arts Auction in aid of L-Istrina. This fund-raising activity is an integral part of the annual Istrina Campaign. The organising committee is this year being chaired by Mrs Doris Zahra.

All the works of art, which include an interesting variety of original paintings and ceramics have all been donated by Malta’s leading artists. The works are of the highest quality and will definitely create a lot of interest amongst the more discerning art lovers and collectors alike.

H.E. Dr. George Abela, President of Malta will be launching the event on Monday 12th November 2012 at The Palace, Valletta and the actual auction will be held on Friday 23rd November 2012. The auction will once again be in the capable hands of Mr Joseph Sammut, Senior Auctioneer at Belgravia Auction Gallery.

Auction Lots are featured online with details and pictures. A catalogue raisonne’ including images and details of the works of art together with a short CV of each artist will be printed for the occasion. The works will once again be exhibited at the Palace prior to the event.

The sum collected will be announced and presented to President George Abela during the annual l-Istrina fund-raising programme.
