Inauguration of new tombstone for Bishop Emeritus Nikol Cauchi.
Gozo Bishop Mario Grech inaugurated the new tombstone where Bishop Emeritus Nikol Cauchi is buried at the Gozo Cathedral in Victoria.
The tombstone was designed by Alfred Camilleri Cauchi and the marble work was carried out by Raymond Bonello.
The upper part of the monument consists of a sculpted lunette depicting the Visitation. A bronze bust of the late bishop, also by Camilleri Cauchi, forms part of the tombstone.
The monument was blessed by Bishop Grech after a concelebrated Mass for the repose of Bishop Mgr Cauchi’s soul.
