The Feast of Christ the King.
The feast of Christ the King was recently celebrated in Xaghra. The theme of this year’s celebration was Inti l-Messija bin Alla l-haj (You are the Messiah, Son of the living God – Mt 16:16)
Gozo Bishop Mario Grech delivered a message in which he spoke on the Year of Faith – an opportunity for every Catholic to turn towards Jesus Christ. The programme included readings from the Holy Scripture, prayers and song, while the Centre Stage Dance Academy and the Gozo School of Drama took to the stage to present their own mimes.
The celebration ended with the renewal of Baptism vows, Eucharistic adoration and benediction. The Diocesan Youth Choir, under the direction of Dorienne Portelli, took part.
