Local bus company Arriva Malta has announced that buses will be operating on holiday schedules between December the 24th and the 1st of January, 2013.

“Owing to fluctuations in demand and changes in customer needs and travelling patterns buses will be operating on different times during the coming days. On Monday December the 24th, all buses will be operating on Saturday times however there will be no night services on the day.

“Buses will also operate as if it were a Saturday on the December the 26 to the 28th when a night bus service will also be in operation. Saturday times will also be followed on Saturday December the 29th , while the buses will operate on regular Sunday timetables on December the 30th.

“This means that while frequency on routes remains practically the same as it would be on a normal week day, the time when buses service particular localities and/or bus stops will be different.

“On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day all buses will be operating on Sunday (Public Holiday) timetables however, there will be no bus services between 12.00h and 15.00h. This is to allow Arriva drivers to enjoy Christmas and New Year lunches with their families. Last trips and first trips on different routes will be at different times” (as per table below), the statement concluded.
