The Gozo Amateur Athletic Association (GAAC) in collaboration with the Xaghra Youth Centre and the Xaghra Local Council is hosting the 38th Edition of the Gozo Half Marathon on Sunday, the 28th of April 2013.

Apart from the half marathon (13.1mi), participants can also take part in the 8mi, 4km, 2km or the 2km fun run. The 13.1mi MTB race will once again form part of this event. All races start and end at Xaghra Square.The organisers said that they are receiving applications from all over the world at the moment! Currently we have participants from Germany, UK, Ireland, Sweden, Hungary, Israel…

A total of 78 trophies will be awarded, together with a number of promotional give-aways. Commemorative medals will be awarded to all participants finishing the race.

Free transport will be available on the day between Mgarr Ferry Terminal and Xaghra Square.

Interested participants can register online on www.gozomarathon.org. Applications can also be downloaded from the website and sent through postal mail. Late application fees apply after the 19th of April.
