The Gozo Action Group Foundation (GAGF) has announced that the deadline for Action 413.6 – ‘Festivals and Events’ under Axis 4, LEADER of the Rural Development Programme for Malta (2007-2013) has now been extended to Friday, the 3rd of May 2013.

This action provides assistance to initiatives that allow local organisations to implement activities linked to the maintenance and enhancement of our traditions.

The second call is for Action 413.6 under Axis 4, LEADER of the Rural Development Programme for Malta (2007-2013).This action provides assistance to the setting up of events and festivals especially in the shoulder months, focused on Gozo’s intangible heritage in order to generate further tourism demand in Gozo.

Call for Action 413.2 – Folk and Traditional Activities

These activities include research on local traditions, presentation of local traditions, publications, and sessions for folk and traditional activities to be presented and transferred to younger generations.

The beneficiaries eligible for funding under this call are NGOs within the territory of the Gozo Action Group Foundation.The total budget allocation under this call is €70,000.

Beneficiaries will be granted up to 80% financial assistance should the proposed investment be selected.

This call will now close on Friday the 3rd of May, at 12.00pm.

Call for Action 413.6 – Festivals and Events

The action will support one-off events, particularly focused on the promotion and enhancement of Gozo’s intangible heritage. Multi annual festivals could also be supported with a decreasing rate so as to encourage self-sustainability in the mid-term.

Existing festivals could benefit from a limited support exclusively related to the marketing component of the initiative.

The beneficiaries eligible for funding under this call are the Local Councils and NGO’s within the territory of the GAGF.The total budget allocation under this call is €150,000. Beneficiaries will be granted up to 80% financial assistance should the proposed investment be selected.

This call opens on Monday 18th March 2013 and closes on Friday 26th April 2013 at 12.00pm.
